It's Friday

It may be Friday but it feels like a Monday.  Dale is on a semi-work related fishing trip for the weekend.  Sometimes I think his job is cooler than mine.  Whenever he gets to go out for drinks I for sure think its cooler.  It's not like I can go out for a beer with my employees, I'm pretty sure sharing a few beers with my kids would be child abuse.  Since Dale is gone the whole house is filled with a vanilla scentsy smell.  I love it but its not Dale's favorite.  I'm also going to watch girly things all weekend.

When I told the kids that their Grandma was coming to stay with us for the weekend and should be here by the time they get out of school Ellie responded "Great, it's going to be like having two moms."  All I could do was laugh.  Grandma is way cooler with them than she ever was with me and Ellie is her mini-me so she should be thrilled.  Loves nature, turtle-necks and takes plenty of time to do things-describes either one of them perfectly.  I live with a mini-version of my mother.  My mother lived with a mini version of hers.  Good luck girls!  I can't imagine a mini-version of me!

I'm still in my pajamas.  I took the kids to school in my pajamas.  I know it is so wrong.  I really should have taken a shower this morning and got dressed, but I turned my alarm off.  I was really careful to follow the speed limit and all traffic laws.  I wouldn't want to get pulled over in my hot pink and hearts fuzzy pajama pants.  Instead of showering I was editing pictures of the cutest little baby ever, well worth it.  He is so precious and I am so lucky to have some of the best friends ever.  They let me swaddle, change, hold and love him and I get to practice my culinary skills by bringing them dinner.  I'm pretty sure I made the best Chicken Alfredo ever.  I'll show it to you next week.  I also made some really delicious carrot cake from a box.  I mean I did bake it and frost it.  Sometimes, homemade=I made it at home, even if its from a box.
Cross your fingers I survive the weekend without losing my mind and that nap time today is long.

14 days old.
