Up and running, sort of

Two weeks of not posting and I'm having blogger withdrawals.  My laptop is having wireless button issues and to be honest I just didn't want to use the house computer.  Now that I've caved I'm actually enjoying it.  The "house" computer is a tower and the screen is actually the television and we have a wireless mouse and keyboard.  This way we can see everything that our kids do online. watch movies from the computer on the tv and now I'm blogging on the tv.  I have to admit its pretty cool and a lot easier to type.

The race is on during our busiest month of the year but first lets catch up with a few funny and scary things that have happened in the last two weeks.  Are you ready for this.  It's kind of like a poop post, just to prepare you.

I took the youngest three to Sam's on a Friday night.  No big deal until we get to the bakery section and Ellie says "Mom, Regan just threw up."  And she did, all over some football cupcakes.  It even got all over the inside of the cold case.  Gross.  While she is standing there, Jack is attempting and succeeding at getting out of the buckle in the cart.  Thankfully a nice gentleman went to get an employee.  She proceeded to throw up twice in the car.  Do you have kids yet?  Words of advice-get the leather seats...vomit wipes right off.  Probably would have died if we had cloth.  After lugging everything out and everyone in, Dale (my hero and knight in shining armor) was cleaning out the van and I was setting Regan up with her blanket and bucket, round four of throwing up had begun.  I was 5 seconds away from putting Jack in bed when he fell into the fireplace and cut open the inside of his lip as Regan was bucket diving.  Blood everywhere and a trip to the ER for Jack and I.  We ALL got sick.  It was quite a weekend.

Over Fall Break we went to Silver Dollar City.  It was our first time to go just the six of us.  The kids were fantastic and the weather was perfection.  Around 4pm we headed back to ride PowderKeg, Ethan can ride it by himself and Ellie can ride with an adult.  It's the biggest thing that she can ride.  It was Dale's turn to ride so I got some ice cream for the little ones and we sat on a bench and ate ice cream and they gathered up acorns.  Then suddenly lots of people started coming out of the ride exit and entrance saying that the ride was stuck on an incline.  People were saying how they felt sorry for the little girl in the red shirt.  THAT IS MY LITTLE GIRL.  I walked the stroller and little ones to the bottom of the little hill where you could see the car stopped at the top of the tallest incline.  My heart was racing.  Dale had his phone in his pocket and text me that they were freaked out but okay.  I posted on Facebook for everyone to pray, which I'm not religious, but I do believe in the collective thoughts of many.  I called my best friend.  I knew she would be able to calm me down and keep me level headed.  Fourteen years earlier a dear friend of mine was killed in a roller coaster.  It brought back a pain I had not felt in years and even though I knew they would be okay the emotions were high.  They walked down the stairs and acted like it was exciting but no big deal.  The kids were fine and the staff was so impressed by how well they did.  They got big cookies and we were off to ride another ride.   I have never hugged them so tightly and kissed their little faces with more conviction.

The rest of the trip was uneventful in comparison.  We went straight to PowderKeg the next morning and rode it right away.  I wanted them to not be afraid of it.  They were fantastic, and they weren't scared!  I can't wait to go when we can all ride together.  Just a few more years!

What a wild two weeks!!  I'm creating a Tangled party for Ellie and sewing up some Star Wars costumes this week.  Busy but oh so much fun!  Now I'm going to get on Pinterest...I'm having withdrawals!!!
