The Parent Teacher Conference

I have to say that these are my most favorite meetings.  Maybe because I've never had a bad one, knock on wood.  It's the same story every time and I imagine it will be the same with the little ones too.  Excellent student, top of the class, talks a lot but always quiets down when asked and only during appropriate times.  I can't imagine where they get that from :).  And then we get into the deep stuff thats my favorite.

Ellie is a brilliant reader.  Who knew because she pretended she could barely read at home!  She is more determined than she lets on at home and always gives one hundred percent.  Oh and she isn't slow at school, as in her teacher doesn't have to wait on her because she piddles around or takes forever...hmmm.

Ethan is reading at a 4th grade month 6 level.  He will be so bummed he didn't test all the way up to 5th.  He enjoys performing which means he has social self confidence, kind of surprised us.  He wants to please his teacher, not make mistakes and wants to make sure that he is on the right track.  He also isn't sensitive at school the way he is at home, which was a huge shocker.

I love finding out how our kids act and behave when we're not around.  They use their manners and I couldn't be more proud of them.  Alright enough bragging, next week I'll have some teal fantasticness to show you.  For real its awesome and yes I said fantasticness.
