DIY: Valentine Boxes for the Un-Crafty

I consider myself fairly crafty but sometimes you just need something that is all put together and requires no prep.  I am also thrifty and hate to buy anything holiday related full price.  It makes me queasy!  So last year after Valentine's Day I found myself in Hobby Lobby head to head with a cart of leftover Valentine's things with a big sign that said-brace yourselves-90% off.  I found 3 make your own Valentine Box foam sticker kits.  I got them for about $.50 each and I got some iron on hearts (which I totally haven't used yet).  Since we were snowed in and the kids were missing their scheduled Valentine's parties we went ahead and made their boxes.  They both told me that they were the first and only ones to bring their boxes on the first day back, which made me feel like the best mom ever.  Two of them had a truck theme and the other had a space theme.  They shared, they imagined, they blew me away.  It was so fun and really cheap.  I think they turned out really cute.  Now I'm off to Hobby Lobby to get some for next year.  I love handmade special things but sometimes it can be just as special with something bought.
She was really into the glitter pen.

I love how he turned wheels into gears.  So creative!
Jack really enjoyed this craft!

Ok it did say Regan and Jack but Regan rearranged the letters, because she is helpful like that.
