DIY: Princess Candelabra

So I told you last week that I love spray paint.  Here is one of my first spray-paintovations.  My two girly girls share a room and while I would love to do a really classic look and give it a vintage modern feel, they have other ideas.  They love princesses and barbies and well just about anything glamorous, sparkly, glittery or pink.  So in my quest to find something I found a shabby lackluster gold candelabra with some 70's style glass candle holders on top.  It did however have four great crystals on it and it was only 5 bucks.  I ditched the candle holders and chose purple to complement their wall.  I used 2 coats and then one coat of shiny clear.  I added four more crystals that were my Grandma's.  Lots of oohs and ahhs. I let them take it down and use it for tea parties.  Some of the gold is coming through and I love it.  A great addition to their room for way cheaper than anything you could buy at a store.  Come on spring, I need some more great garage sales.
