You will quite possibly have zits and wrinkles at the same time. This really pisses me off. I keep telling myself that getting a zit means I'm still young. Bullshit.
Your kid will eventually learn how to take off their diaper and end up pooping on the floor. If you have more than one kid, this will happen more than once.
No one can tell you how much it actually costs to live. Remember your parents giving you that stern talking to about life and how expensive it is and blah blah blah. All that blah is real. No matter how much they tell you and show you numbers, its not real until you live it.
There will come a time when you reach for something and strain a muscle. Then you will think "This can't be happening, I'm still young, I have a zit on my chin to prove it!!!"
It means there will be many times when you are under appreciated as a parent. Those clean clothes don't just end up in your closet magically! Neither does dinner just make itself or money grow on trees!
You can have dessert for dinner, that's if you want to gain 5lbs because your metabolism isn't the same as it used to be. Or if you want to spend 5 hours in the gym working it off.
You won't be able to stay up late and function the next day. This is the time you will really need to be able to do that too. For some reason staying up all night with a newborn or sick kid is more tiring than a hangover after a night out at a bar.
And last but not least, no one tells you that having all of that responsibility will be better than anything else. Even with wrinkles and zits and not being appreciated as much as you should, having to feed people instead of buying video games and going to bed early. It will be worth it all.
