DIY: Button Thumb Tacks

Ok so these are one of my favorite things.  I wanted to display a vintage pattern, some fabric and other notions that I got from my Grandma.  The shadow boxes were not on sale at Hobby Lobby and I'm cheap.  So I found a cork board that was on sale.  I wanted a fun way to show off the sewing items with something cute and related.  Solution-Button Thumb Tacks.  To make these take your favorite vintage or new button and glue it onto a thumb tack using a hot glue gun or craft glue.  There are different types and colors of thunb tacks.  My favorite ones are from Lowe's and have a flat top.  They come in white, red and brass.  You can get some with a curved top if you like.  You can put anything on a thumb tack...so get creative!  You 'll be able to find mine on Etsy soon.  Happy crafting!
