DIY: No Sew CHEAP Curtains

While I can sew relatively well, I don't always have the time.  I wanted to hang curtains in the kids rooms but I knew I didn't have time to make them.  I have more than a dozen projects going at one time and did not want to add another!  So reluctantly I decided to buy some.  Normally when I shop for something I try to get it on sale.  I am super thrifty (or cheap, whatever) and all of the curtain panels at Target were way over priced for my budget and I did not want to buy panels that were $10+ a piece (needing 4 panels for each room $80+ eeekk!!).

So I started looking at fabric shower curtains.  While there were some sweet shower curtains like these cute tree ones, they just didn't match our theme and I didn't want to pay $30 each.  But I found some beautiful fabric shower curtains for $6.24 each...thankfully there were 4 of them.  I spent $16 on two basic curtain rods, making sure that the holes for the shower curtain were big enough to go on the rod.  So for a grand total of $41 (which is only part of what I could have spent to curtain one room), I curtained 2 bedrooms and I didn't have to sew a thing!

This cassette tape shower curtain would be neat for a teenagers room and I love these polka dot ones.  A single pane window could be accommodated with just one shower curtain.  I love Target and if you go there often they always have clearance!
