Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

Going to the Tree Farm is perhaps my most favorite new holiday tradition.  We have been getting a live tree for many years now but this was our first year to go to the tree farm.  We decided to go on Black Friday and change it to Family Friday.  We don't do the crazy lines and shopping.  After lunch we loaded up the van and headed out.  The kids loved the hay ride and the gift shop and the warm apple cider juice (which is much more kid friendly) and the fun things to climb on for pictures.  But what they loved the most was running through the rows of trees and saying yes or no to the different trees along with a bit of hide and seek.  We had decided from the start that we would cut our own tree (way more fun) and after Dale and Ethan did, they helped the tree helper carry it back for its shake down.

I wish we had gone to this place in years past to get our tree but I'm glad we didn't.  You see our family is complete this Christmas.  I can't wait to do it again next year!  Happy tree hunting.

Regan said hello to everyone when we got there.  She always makes lots of friends whenever we go anywhere.

I wonder how they will compare to the soldier next year?

It wouldn't be fun waiting for the hay ride if we didn't get a little goofy!
I wore Jack in his carrier and he was a happy tree hunter.
