My Lifelong Love Affair with Rainy Days

I love rainy days.  I love the sounds of pitter pat and thunder.  I like the gray clouds and when it is overcast.  To me it is beautiful and comforting.  I remember in high school playing in the rain with my high school sweetheart.  We laughed and kissed and just let it fall down on us.  My mother let me play in the rain as a kid.  I made bubbles in the runoffs and ran around in my bathing suit.  I let my kids play in the rain.  We go outside and dance around and then come inside and snuggle up together.  I love it like today when the house is a little darker and we make popcorn and watch movies and stay in our pajamas. 

So many times you hear people complain about rainy days.  Rain makes things grow and gives life to the world.  It washes away the dirt and grime.  It revitalizes and rejuvenates.  I love rain.  I think I should live in Seattle. Happy Rainy Day.
