There are a few things I had forgotten about having a new baby. Let's be honest I really just tried to push them aside in my brain and pretend that they wouldn't happen.1. I forgot how much boys will pee on you if you don't make their diaper changes lightening fast. Harder to do with a 16 month helper. I've been peed on - A LOT.
2. I go thru at least 2 shirts a day. I leak - A LOT.
3. Real showers are more than 2 minutes. I wish I could add an "A LOT" to getting showers but I can't. I'm content with my 2 minute one in the morning.
4. Babies go thru lots of diapers - A LOT of diapers.
5. All I really do at home is feed people - A LOT. If I'm not nursing Jack I'm probably making a meal or snack for the other kids.
On the plus side there are a few wonderful things that have happened with number 4:
1. Regan has found someone she loves- more than anyone else. She kisses him more in one day than she kisses anyone else in a month.
2. Ethan and Ellie want to hold him so much that I have to rotate who goes next. It has made it A LOT easier to make all those meals.
3. This is way easier than I thought it would be. Or maybe I just found some hard core super mom strength that was there all along.
4. I have no regrets. Life is beautiful.
The JOYS of Motherhood! I DO NOT miss the pee and leaking...hehe! I am a little nervous about having 2, but you give me strength and will power that I CAN do it! Glad to hear everything is going great for you!
